Museum Service Hamburg

The Museum Service is the central visitor service for 22 museums in Hamburg. As part of the Historical Museums Hamburg it also coordinates the educational programmes at the Altonaer Museum, the Museum für Hamburgische Geschichte, the Museum of Work as well as at the Port Museum and Jenisch House.

The Museum Service is there to help all visitors who want to get to know the Hamburg museums better – whether they are school or kindergarten groups, young people or adults. Within the context of dialogue-based guided tours, qualified guides show people round the exhibitions about art and social history and also look into the maritime, political and economic history of Hamburg. Other topics are available upon request. Open workshops for children or adults, activities for families and holiday projects round off the range of educational activities at the museums.
